During the past three and a half years at The Bridge Works, we have been working towards further developing the skills of all supported employees through our annual Work Plans process. This allows us to facilitate specific training, helping people achieve their individual goals.
In recent months, a large group of supported employees have been taking part in a Competitive Systems and Practice training course facilitated by an external training organisation. This training has expanded their skills and knowledge, as well as attaining a nationally recognised Certificate II.
The core elements of this qualification are Lean Tools and Continuous Improvement techniques, with a number of units that also deal with skill areas such as leadership, workplace learning, communication, workplace change and workplace culture. Above all, participation has proven to be very positive, using learnings in a practical environment, contributing to continuous improvement of our business operations.
